Cristiano Ronaldo has aimed an astonishing attack on Lionel Messi after being criticised for playing badly against Denmark on Wednesday.

The Porgual star fluffed two superb chances as his country stuttered to a 3-2 victory in Euro 2012 Group B.

Ronaldo said, of the Argentine superstar: 'You know where he was at this time [last year]? Do you know? He was being eliminated in the Copa America, in his own country. I think that’s worse, no?'
