Back Roo business... Glum looking Wayne and Coleen return to UK after LA jaunt.

Wayne Rooney has returned to the UK from a break in Los Angeles following Euro 2012.

The Manchester United striker and his wife Coleen did not look happy to be back home after their time away.

Perhaps it was jet-lag or just the natural reaction to swapping the sun of LA for the rain in Britain.

Or maybe Wayne was still feeling down about England's performance at the summer championships.

He missed the first two matches through suspension and then failed to demonstrate his capabilities in the subsequent two games.

Although Rooney found the net against Ukraine it merely masked a lethargic, below-par display.

This was followed up by the quarter-final against Italy in which he could not make any impact. 

The tournament was not the first summer disappointment for the 26-year-old, who had to watch as rivals Manchester City snatched the Barclays Premier League title on a thrilling final day.
